AquiSense Technologies Debuts Large-Scale Municipal System with New Self-Cleaning Feature

AquiSense Technologies, the world leader in ultraviolet (UV) LED water disinfection systems, is proudly announces the launch of a new self-cleaning feature for its large-scale PearlAqua Tera municipal water systems. This advancement is set to further open the application range of UV LED technology by enhancing efficiency, reducing maintenance costs, and ensuring consistent water quality.

AquiSense Technologies’ new self-cleaning mechanism, dubbed the ‘PearlWiper’, was designed to address one of the most challenging aspects of water and wastewater disinfection–system fouling and maintenance. The PearlWiper utilizes advanced automation and real-time monitoring to clean the system’s critical quartz window components, reducing the need for manual intervention for cleaning and system downtime.

“Our new self-cleaning feature represents a significant advancement for our large-scale disinfection technology product range,” says Aaron Leber, Sales Director at AquiSense Technologies. “This feature will provide municipal water, wastewater, or reuse water operations with a cost-effective and low-maintenance solution, ensuring that communities receive clean water with greater efficiency” added Leber.

The self-cleaning feature is now available as an upgrade for existing PearlAqua Tera systems or as an option for all new systems.
