AquiSense Technologies’ range of Pearl Surface and Lab products has been designed specifically to revolutionize the way you disinfect surfaces.
Our line of UV-C (ultraviolet) LED surface disinfection products is designed specifically for surface treatment. From disinfecting surfaces and PPE equipment in hospitals to personal items such as car keys and smartphones, the PearlSurface and PearlLab range can be used to meet any need.
What is a surface treatment?
Surface treatment is the means of disinfecting a surface with an array of UV-C LEDs to either reduce or destroy harmful bacteria and pathogens that might be present.
If surfaces are left untreated, it can lead to harmful and even deadly growth of pathogens. In order to reduce and destroy these harmful bacteria, AquiSense Technologies’ range of PealSurface and PearlLab use UV-C LEDs to expose a surface to a wavelength that is able to reduce and destroy pathogens.
How does it work?
Disinfecting a surface with UV-C LED is easy to do with the PearlSurface and PearlLab range.
Simply and safely, expose the surface or equipment to the UV-C LEDs at a specific wavelength to target harmful bacteria and in a matter of seconds, the intensity of the UV-C LED light will significantly reduce and destroy the bacteria that is present on the surface.
Unlike mercury lamps, our range of PealSurface and PearlLab surface disinfectors does not use harmful mercury meaning it is more energy-efficient and safer to use. With instant on/off capabilities, there is no wait time for the LEDs to warm up and zero heat transfer.
What is the PearlSurface™?
Introducing our flagship surface disinfection system, the PearlSurface™ 24G9 UV-C LED disinfection system offers laboratory-grade disinfection and sterilization in a self-contained unit.
ThePearlSurface™ 24G9 offers consistent and reliable UV-C LED disinfection for a wide range of applications from medical equipment, personal items, industrial bottling, consumable surfaces, and even packing.
What is the PearlLab Micro™?
The PearlLab Micro is a compact, flow-through, Batch Operation system with interchangeable USB UV-C LEDs and dimming control. It is ideal for laboratory and field research, wavelength effectiveness studies, photopolymerization testing, and fluorescent slides.
Featuring our patented compact flow chamber that allows for consistent results, interchangeable LED lamps to suit your specific disinfection needs, ease of use to ensure it makes life easier for researchers, and comes equipped with an adjustable UV dimmer for 10 different intensities.
What is the PearlLab ThinFilm™?
The PearlLab ThinFilm is a flow-through system specifically designed for low ultraviolet transmittance (UVT) applications. It is ideal for testing fluids with low UVT or applications requiring very high UV Doses.
Featuring UVinaire, a replaceable UV LED lamp module that can output wavelengths in the range of 255, 265, 275, and 285 nanometers. Once fitted you do not need to adjust the PearlLab ThinFilm until the end of the LED lifetime has passed, then all you need to do is simply replace the UVinaire.
What is the PearlLab Plasma™?
The PearlLab Plasma generates wavelengths below 230nm without mercury vapor, it is ideal for bench testing applications beyond UV disinfection, such as AOP.
What is a UV-C LED?
UV-C light is a type of radiation that can be found on the electromagnetic spectrum and is measured in nanometers (nm). Invisible to the human eye, UV-C is an effective disinfectant due to the density of its wavelength.
There are three ranges to UV light – UV-A, UV-B, UV-C, and Vacuum-UV:
- UV-A – otherwise known as black light, it has the longest wavelength, ranging between 315nm to 400nm
- UV-B – known as the medium wavelength, ranges between 280nm and 315nm
- UV-C – the shortest wavelength, ranges between 200nm and 280nm.
UV-C is germicidal, meaning it can be used effectively as a disinfectant to kill microorganisms, such as bacteria and viruses.
When the DNA of microorganisms absorbs UV light, it stops them from being able to reproduce and duplicate, thereby preventing their growth.
