Our team members, Rich Simons, Ph.D.; Oliver Lawal; and Jennifer Pagán, Ph.D. published an article in the latest edition of UV Solutions Magazine concerning the current state of the UV LED industry for disinfection applications. The article attempts to help readers understand the UV LED market has evolved beyond the current public opinion of the LED market being “viable in the next 5 years” to “viable now and for the past few years, depending on the application”. In the article, the authors review the capabilities of LED devices in this industry, the state of LEDs in surface, air, and water disinfection with some emphasis on municipal water treatment.
